Nirvana

Nirvana foi uma banda de grunge fundada no ano de 1986 em Aberdeen (Washington), nos Estados Unidos da América. O grupo se desfez em 1994 com a morte de seu líder e vocalista, Kurt Cobain. Foram considerados como a maior banda grunge da história e uma das maiores da história do rock.
Sua canção mais famosa, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" está entre as 20 melhores músicas da história, além de ser considerada a segunda melhor música dos últimos 20 anos. O álbum Nevermind (1991) vendeu até 2009 cerca de 26 milhões de cópias e teve a melhor capa de disco da história da música, conforme pesquisa promovida pela revista eletrônica "Gigwise". O Nirvana vendeu aproximadamente 75 milhões de álbuns no mundo todo até hoje.
